the fine print, in plain words

Privacy Policy

The short version

  • I collect what I need to send you what you asked for.
  • I never sell your information.
  • Email me anytime and I'll show you or delete what I have.

Deeply Human Teaching is run by Andrea Baca in California. This page explains what information I collect, why, and what you can do about it. I keep it short and plain on purpose.

What I collect

  • Your name and email when you grab a freebie, join the email list, or contact me.
  • Purchase details when you buy something: your name, email, billing address and what you bought. Payment processors handle your card. I never see or store your full card number.
  • Instagram messages when you comment a keyword or message me. That's how I send the link you asked for.
  • Club details if you join the DHT Club on Skool: your profile and what you post there.
  • Site usage like the pages you visit, roughly where you're visiting from, and the link that brought you here. This comes from cookies and similar tools.

Why I collect it

  • To send you what you signed up for or bought.
  • To send you emails, including Real World Wednesday. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To answer your questions and handle refunds.
  • To understand which posts, pages and ads actually help teachers, so I can make better ones.

I do not sell your information.

Who helps me run things

These companies process information for me. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Squarespace hosts this website and its shop.
  • ThriveCart runs checkout. Payments go through processors such as Stripe.
  • Flodesk sends my emails.
  • ManyChat sends Instagram messages.
  • Skool hosts the DHT Club.
  • Google Analytics shows me how people use the site.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) runs my ads. The Meta Pixel and Conversions API tell Meta when someone visits or buys after an ad, so ads reach teachers who care.

Cookies

The site uses cookies for analytics and ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also adjust ad settings in your Meta account. The site still works if you block them.

Your choices

  • Stop emails with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.
  • See, fix or delete your information by emailing me. I'll answer within 30 days. Purchase records may be kept as long as tax law requires.
  • California residents can ask what personal information I hold and ask me to delete it. I'll never treat you differently for asking.

How long I keep it

I keep your information while you're on my list, in the Club, or a customer. Purchase records are kept for tax purposes. When you ask me to delete your information, I remove it from my tools unless the law requires me to keep it.

Kids

This site is for teachers. It is not meant for anyone under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child gave me information, email me and I'll delete it.

Changes

If I change this policy, I'll update the date at the top.
