That code did not work. Check the lesson in your Skool classroom.
The Essential Question Lab
One question your students will argue about at lunch. Tell me what you teach, and I'll hand you stems and starter questions built for your unit. Then we sharpen it until it's juicy.
What do you teach?
Pick your class. Everything after this gets built around it.
What unit are you planning?
Pick a unit, or type your own.
Steal a stem. Or a whole question.
Tap anything to send it to your draft. Then make it yours.
Draft it. Then run the check.
Write it the way you'd say it to a room of sixteen year olds.
The check follows the DHT checklist by reading patterns in your wording. It can't read your students. You're the final judge.
Let your question pick your summative
Try this tomorrow
Post your question on the board. Give every student one sticky note. Ask for a first answer and one reason. Save the notes. Hand them back at the end of the unit and watch the room laugh at how far their thinking moved.
Unit question vs. essential question
Most of us write the first kind and call it the second. Here's the swap.

Your question picks your summative. Your summative picks your lessons. Head back to the Skool classroom and open the next module.
